I understand this was a mock up created by editorial to show the paper what the strip would be like, but honestly, you'd think you'd get it redrawn by Smith! <br /><br />A great write up there Douglas that sums up whats so great about these strips. The limitations just emphasise how impressive Wagner and Grant were at this point.Leighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10403697216384942260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7321253799411057654.post-14792631205737139522011-08-08T01:10:28.028-07:002011-08-08T01:10:28.028-07:00I recently read a whole bunch of these little stor...I recently read a whole bunch of these little stories for the first time in years, and I was astounded by how well they held up.<br /><br />More than anything else, they prove that Mega-City One and its mental citizens are the real stars of Judge Dredd, but I'm also amazed that they manage to set up a situation, get across a point and wrap it up with a pithy one-liner, when so many modern mainstream comics require a series of six-issue arcs to get anywhere near the point.<br /><br />As for the all-time favorite short Dredd story in the next volume - is it Fungus?
